THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Two laboratory results can differ because different material or methods were used, not necessarily because one laboratory is wrong.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Identify the batch and the precise disputed property.
  2. Agree representative sampling, sample handling and the test method with the laboratory.
  3. Keep sealed retained portions and a clear record of who handled each sample.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

Why are you retesting?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Conflicting methods

First obtain results using a shared method before assessing the size of the difference.

Suspected batch inconsistency

Sample relevant subgroups separately so the test does not conceal variation.

A contractual disagreement

Follow the agreed resolution procedure and document the sampling record carefully.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Send the lab a written test request and ask for original readings and calculation details where relevant.

Keep in mind

Do not accuse a supplier or laboratory based only on incomparable results.
