THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Root-zone volume can become limiting even when the coir itself remains usable.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Inspect the root ball without excessive disturbance
  2. Track how rapidly the pot dries
  3. Compare crop size with the planned container capacity

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What is the strongest sign?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Dense roots and rapid drying

Discuss timely potting-on or a revised container plan.

Roots visible at a few holes

Check the whole root ball before assuming it is rootbound.

Slow growth with wet media

Investigate root health rather than automatically increasing pot size.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Choose the next container around crop duration and irrigation capacity.

Keep in mind

Visible roots at one outlet alone do not prove the pot is too small.
