THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

A convenient sample of coir is useful only if its grade and preparation match the proposed supply.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Describe the intended format, growing system and evaluation goal.
  2. State which physical and laboratory properties you need to compare.
  3. Ask for the sample batch identity, preparation instructions and whether it represents standard production.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What is the purpose of your sample?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Initial screening

Request enough material to inspect preparation and obtain representative test samples.

System trial

Explain the container and trial layout so the supplied format can be evaluated realistically.

Checking a replacement supplier

Provide the existing acceptance specification and request any proposed deviations in writing.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Agree sample contents, availability and any charges before dispatch, then retain its identifying label.

Keep in mind

Do not assume a hand-selected sample demonstrates consistency across a commercial shipment.
