THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Loose coir expansion and the working volume inside a bag are related but not interchangeable measurements.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Clarify whether a quoted litre figure is loose expansion or filled working volume.
  2. Record the preparation and filling process used to reach that volume.
  3. Check the resulting dimensions against the intended growing layout.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

Which number is quoted?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Loose expanded litres

Ask how the material will fill the final container under the intended process.

Filled container litres

Request the measurement method and prepared dimensions.

Only bag dimensions

Do not infer an exact usable volume without considering shape and filling.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Use a representative filled unit to confirm operational fit and quantity planning.

Keep in mind

Do not compare loosely poured volume with densely packed volume as if they were identical.
