Feed & EC · WITH DRIP

Why should I measure feed EC at the dripper?

The mixing tank result does not always represent what reaches the plant.

THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Coir roots respond to the delivered solution, including any changes along the irrigation system.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Compare source water, mixed feed and emitter samples using the same calibrated meter.
  2. Sample after the line reaches normal operation and record the collection timing.
  3. Check for old solution, overlapping zones or unintended water-only delivery.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

Where does the difference appear?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Tank and emitter differ

Trace the delivery path and repeat sampling at intermediate points.

Only first discharge differs

Measure the start-up contribution and review line carryover.

All samples match

Use the delivered result as the input reference when investigating the root zone.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Label every sample by location and event time.

Keep in mind

Do not compare a first-flush sample with a fully mixed tank sample as though timing were identical.
