THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

A labelled final-feed sample can help determine what the cocopeat crop actually receives.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Specify whether you are testing source water, stock concentrate or final feed.
  2. Collect at a documented location during stable operation.
  3. Record recipe, dilution, collection time and any storage instructions from the laboratory.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

Which solution is being tested?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Final feed

Record the active zone and sample location so the result can be compared with crop records.

Stock concentrate

Confirm that the laboratory accepts and can handle the concentration safely.

Unknown tank contents

Identify and label the material accurately before arranging analysis.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Send the preparation and sampling record with the sample.

Keep in mind

Do not send an unlabelled concentrate as though it were ordinary irrigation water.
