THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Compressed coir may change shape or packaging condition when wet, and water exposure can compromise handling or cleanliness.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Identify leaks, floor contact or condensation around affected stock.
  2. Record which units are swollen, stained or have damaged wrapping.
  3. Compare affected units with protected material from the same batch.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What is the exposure pattern?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Local leak

Isolate the affected area and correct the leak before assessing individual packages.

Widespread condensation

Review storage conditions and package ventilation with the warehouse team.

Unknown wetting history

Request an assessment before issuing the material to sensitive production.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Document the incident and agree a release or rejection decision for the affected stock.

Keep in mind

Do not dry material and relabel it as unaffected without an appropriate assessment.
