THE COCOPEAT CONNECTION

Why the root zone matters

Coir bags can continue draining after the supply stops, so a short collection may miss part of the outflow.

01 / OBSERVE

Three checks before you change anything

  1. Define the collection start and end for your monitoring protocol.
  2. Observe the delay between irrigation start and drainage appearance.
  3. Use the same procedure on comparable bags and note exceptions.

02 / NARROW IT DOWN

What is inconsistent?

Choose the closest observation for a suggested next check.

Collection stops too early

Extend or standardise the observation window with your adviser.

Some bags drain much later

Investigate delivery and moisture distribution before averaging them.

The protocol changes daily

Agree a repeatable method and restart a clearly labelled trend series.

03 / TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Leave with something useful

Record supply volume and drainage over matching periods.

Keep in mind

Do not divide drainage from one time window by irrigation volume from another.
