Read the dimensions in the right order
State expanded length × width × height, and make the units explicit. Compressed transport dimensions and expanded working dimensions are different descriptions. The supplier and grower should be discussing the same one.
Teral’s vegetable enquiry options include 100 × 15 × 15 cm, 100 × 18 × 15 cm and 100 × 20 × 15 cm. Wider formats can be discussed for tomato, cucumber and capsicum projects. These are product options, not universal size prescriptions for those crops.
Use volume as a planning input
For a rectangular shape, length × width × height in centimetres divided by 1,000 gives a nominal volume in litres. For example, 100 × 18 × 15 cm represents 27 L geometrically; 1,000 such bags represent 27 m³.
The calculation is useful for initial planning. It is not a promise of hydrated volume, usable root volume or container loading. Confirm actual product dimensions and the volume measurement basis with the order. Teral’s volume planner lets you compare these nominal requirements before preparing an enquiry.
Treat openings and drainage as separate choices
Planting openings must match the nursery format and planting layout. Specify their number, dimensions, shape and positions. A cube intended for transfer into a slab should be checked against the opening it will use.
Drainage needs its own drawing. Discuss the position and pattern of lower-side slits or base openings in relation to the support surface and drainage collection arrangement. Extra holes alone do not establish how the media will behave. Bag geometry and substrate structure need to be considered together.
Send one complete production brief
For strawberries, the site also presents shallower slab options; BLU blueberry bags use nominal capacities of 25, 30 and 40 L. The appropriate choice depends on the project. Custom dimensions and volumes can be discussed.
- Crop, growing stage and supporting system.
- Expanded dimensions or nominal capacity.
- Planting-opening drawing and nursery format.
- Drainage pattern and position.
- White or black UV-treated film requirements.
- Material grade, quantity, destination and timing.
