Three Teral 50 L bags in teal, orange and purple
01 / TEAL

Low EC
cocopeat

For buyers specifying a washed, low-soluble-salt cocopeat grade.

Low EC describes the measured soluble salt level. It does not, by itself, mean the media has been buffered.

02 / ORANGE

Buffered
cocopeat

For buyers specifying pre-treated coir with buffering included in the material brief.

Buffering addresses the exchange behaviour of coir. Agree the treatment and test specification alongside the EC requirement.

03 / PURPLE

Cocopeat
+ perlite

Buffered cocopeat with perlite, for a separately specified physical structure.

Perlite grade and proportion are agreed to your brief. There is no single mix that fits every container and growing system.

VariantTypical use to discussWhat to confirm
Low EC cocopeatPot and container filling; a coir component in a separately specified growing-media mix.Salt specification and test method, particle grade, and whether buffering is required for the project.
Buffered cocopeatSoilless container and greenhouse growing-media projects where the buyer requires buffered coir.Treatment specification, crop and container compatibility, and the site’s nutrient-management plan.
Buffered cocopeat + perliteContainer mixes for vegetable, herb and ornamental projects where a peat/perlite structure is specified.Perlite grade and proportion, filling method, container design and sample performance.

Using loose 50 L media

  1. Check the variant and batch reference before opening.
  2. Open in a clean filling area and loosen the media evenly.
  3. Fill containers consistently using your approved process; avoid unnecessary compaction.
  4. Keep remaining material protected from contamination and use under the agreed site protocol.

A growing medium, not a complete feed

These variants do not replace a crop-specific nutrition programme. Ask your adviser to match the material with your water quality and growing system.

For small-cell sowing, use a separately specified nursery grade. Teral’s 50 L seedling substrate focuses on fine screening and long-fibre removal.
